This document describes how to install and use the Citrix ICA Client for Windows CE. The Citrix ICA Windows CE Client lets you use a Windows CE HPC device to connect to a Microsoft Windows Terminal Server system with Citrix MetaFrame or MetaFrame for Windows 2000 installed or a Citrix WinFrame server and run applications remotely.
To run the ICA Windows CE Client, you must have the following:
A Windows CE-based device
A network interface card (NIC) connected to a local network for TCP/IP network connections, or a modem and telephone line for serial PPP and Dial-In connections
The ICA Windows CE Client program for your Windows CE device (SH3, SH4, X86, MIPS, PowerPC, or ARM)
A display that supports 16 colors/gray scales or greater
To install the Citrix ICA Windows CE Client:
Unzip the file ICAWINCE.ZIP and extract the contents to a temporary folder on your PC.
Establish a connection between the CE device and your desktop PC.
On your PC, navigate to the temporary folder then run the SETUP.EXE program. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
Once installation is complete, on your HPC tap Start, Programs, ICA CE Client, and then Remote Application Manager.
When prompted, enter a unique name for your device and tap OK. The name must not be in use by any other devices connecting to Citrix MetaFrame or WinFrame servers on the network.
To start the ICA Windows CE Client
On your HPC desktop, tap Start. Point to Programs and select Citrix ICA CE Client. Tap Remote Application Manager to start the Remote Application Manager.
For more information, see the online help. Access the online help for the ICA Windows CE client by tapping the Help menu in Remote Application Manager.
