The Value Added Directory contains extra components that are shipped with Microsoft® Windows 2000®. Many of these components have not been fully tested for compatibility with Windows 2000; however, they can still add value to your Windows 2000 system if you decide to install them.
The MSFT folder in the Value Added Directory contains software and associated information developed and written by Microsoft. The components in this directory are supported by Microsoft.
The 3rdParty folder in the Value Added Directory contains software and associated information developed and written by third parties. None of the software programs in this section of the Value Added Directory is a Microsoft product, and Microsoft's inclusion of these programs in this Value Added Directory does not imply any endorsement by Microsoft of such programs, any claims made about such programs or such programs' ability to operate in conjunction with any Microsoft products.
Your rights to use a particular software program included in this section of the Value Added Directory is governed by the end user license agreement accompanying the program. To the extent that no third party license accompanies the third party software, your rights to use such software are subject to the Microsoft end user license agreement for the accompanying Microsoft product, except that the provisions of the paragraph below shall be applicable in lieu of the corresponding provisions, if any, in such Microsoft end user license agreement. Microsoft does not provide product support of any kind for the software programs included in this section of the Value Added Directory. Such product support, if any, is available from the developer of the software.
